How to Control Occasional Invaders in Nova Scotia
Earwigs, Sowbugs, Pillbugs, Centipedes, Millipedes, and Crickets
often can become a problem if there numbers become too large, or if they
are found inside the home.
Here are some natural methods to control them:
- Remove clutter such as debris, boards, and large flat rocks
around the foundation
- Keep grass short
- Seal up gaps in the foundation, and around windows and doors
- In the home, use a dehumidifier to bring down the Relative
Humidity
- Sprinkle Diatomaceous Earth around the foundation and/or along
interior walls where these Occasional Invaders congregate.
